Hello friends!! Welcome to the SpiegelMom Scraps Blog Hop!  I'm excited that you have made it to my blog!  My name is Daisie Hanson.  I am a wife, mother of 3, OR RN, and scrapbooker.  I am very busy but I make time for scrapbooking as it is my way to relieve stress.  It also helps me focus on the important and little moments that make my life great!


This is my first design team experience.  I am so grateful and delighted that I was selected to participate!  I will be part of the Sparklers YouTube Squad.  I will be posting Scraplift Sunday videos 3 Sundays a month.  I'm super excited to get started!  My first video will be up on the SpiegelMom Scraps YouTube channel on May 14th.

Today we are having a blog hop to introduce the new team.  There is a chance to win a $20 credit to the store.  All you need to do is comment on all of the blogs involved in the hop (listed at the end of this post).  While many are returning to the team, a few of us are newbies.  We had the option of creating a new layout about us for this blog hop or sharing one of the layouts we submitted as part of our application.  I chose to create a new layout.  How could I not?  Once I received the beautiful product from the store I had to start creating with it as soon as possible!  Here is the layout I created.




I chose to create a layout that described how I felt when I found out I was part of the team.  Joyful is definitely how I felt!  I was so happy and excited, I still am!

The background paper is the textured white cardstock from the store. I used some gesso and water colors to create the background.  I chose to use some scraps for the layers (American Crafts My Girl, Pink Paislee Memorandum, Shimelle Little by Little).  I used the frames from the Paige Evans Take Me Away for my title card.  The Joy title is fussy cut from Shimelle Little by Little paper.

I used the Hot Pink Heart Felties and the new Wild & Free sequin mix that is newly released in the shop today.  I'm totally smitten with this mix!  I want to use it on all of my layouts!  I splattered with the Shimmerz Jeni B Bleu Vibez to finish off the page.
